Nine contemporary sculptures were as of late added to the Underwater Museum of Art (UMA) in the Gulf of Mexico off the flee of Grayton Beach Bid Park in South Walton, Florida.
The 2022 set up involves the following pieces of sculpture:
“Currents and Tafoni” by Joe Adams (Ventura, CA);
“Pirate Shipwreck” by Sean Coffey (Pittsburgh, PA);
“Bloom Child Bloom” by Brit Deslonde (Santa Rosa Beach, FL);
“The Seed and The Sea” by Davide Galbiati (Valreas, France);
“Fibonacci Conchousness” by Anthony Heinz Would maybe perchance also (Eugene, OR);
“Novel Properties” by Janetta Napp (Honolulu, HI);
“Arc of Nexus” by Tina Piracci (Richmond, CA);
“We All Dwell Right here” by Marisol Rendón (San Diego, CA); and
“Customary Chord” by Vince Tatum (Santa Rosa Beach, FL).
The sculptures were deployed thru an synthetic reef mission that involves 9 nearshore reefs positioned internal one nautical mile (1.85km) of the shore in 58 feet (17.68m) of water.
The contemporary set up joins the 17 sculptures previously deployed on a one-acre (.4 hectare) allow patch of seabed off Grayton Beach Bid Park, expanding the USA’s first eternal underwater museum to a total of 34 sculptures. The UMA patch will proceed to be stuffed with several contemporary sculptures each and each year.
