A brand original ecological training program for colleges in Portugal, the “Atlantis Program,” has been launched.
The program is primarily based on the premise that:
“Setting up a more in-depth connection to nature has a transformative energy.”
The Atlantis program targets to blend training and freediving and ocean literacy, build a stable ethos of ocean accountability amongst the participants. The program is primarily based on three pillars:
Oasis Game: a collaborative effort that helps college students catch a venture to be conducted of their very possess community.
Freediving: introducing college students to the marine world thru freediving.
Deep Ecology: a opinion that runs thru the whole program and promotes the premise of interdependence between the whole creatures on this planet, together with humans.
The most crucial edition of the Atlantis program will occur between March and June in Sesimbra, Portugal. The preliminary program will feature 21 eighth-graders from the Navegador Rodrigues Soromenho college.
