The National Fish and Flowers and fauna Foundation (NFWF) has launched it’s looking for proposals for its Fishing for Energy Partnership.
The work will seemingly be well supported by the NOAA Marine Particles Program, Covanta, and Schnitzer Metal. They combine to present US$500,000 (~417,100 Euros) of funding for proposals that decrease the end of derelict fishing gear on marine life.
NFWF will give priority to the next selection of proposals:
- One which maintains or develops a silent port and gives fishers with solutions to rep rid of extinct gear.
- A proposal aimed at developing long-time length logistics allowing communities to set up a fishing gear bin program.
