A sequence of cleanup expeditions to the Katmai National Park in Alaska cling been launched.
The effort is a collaboration between the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Marine Particles Program and the Ocean Plastics Restoration Project.
The expeditions would be potentially the most extensive marine particles cleanup efforts performed in Katmai to this level. The events are scheduled to occur throughout 2021-2022, and each match might well be a four- to six-vessel cleanup effort.
