The Global Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has announced an update to the classification popularity for 40 sharks and rays species, and it ain’t expedient news.

One of the most 40 species, the Java sting ray, is believed to be perchance extinct now, whereas eight species were placed on the Seriously Endangered list. This means they’re one diminutive step away from joining the dinosaurs.
