Shearwater Examine currently launched the launch of its original Peregrine dive computer.

The Peregrine has four diving modes — Air, Nitrox, 3 Gasoline Nitrox and Gauge. It sports simplified recreational dive modes, full decompression strengthen, constructed-in fleet dive planner and wi-fi charging.

Tyler Coen, Director of Engineering at Shearwater, explains the delight in theory slack the Peregrine:

“While a Shearwater [dive computer] at a decrease designate is a gigantic theory, cost reductions can also now not sacrifice Shearwater’s recognition. An horny cloak, high robustness, and simple usability had been non-negotiable. We came upon efficiencies by the spend of the Perdix cloak, Teric buttons, and by reducing the depth rating to 120m. Some good functions esteem technical modes, the digital compass, and air integration had been removed, but the elemental Shearwater expertise stays.”

The Peregrine’s firmware is in step with the Perdix recreational 3-gas nitrox mode, extra adding to that a great less complicated single gas mode, he stated. A gauge mode is integrated, making the Peregrine a gigantic backup for these advancing on to technical diving.

Some of the well-known extra functions that the Peregrine affords are:

  • User-customizable repeat
  • Bühlmann ZHL-16C with gradient factors
  • Depth rating of 120 m / 394 toes
  • CNS Monitoring
  • No lockout for dive diagram deviations
  • Rechargeable battery able to yielding 30-hours of dive time per cost
  • Onboard dive logging storage of 200 hours
  • Vibration signals
  • Bluetooth connectivity.

The Peregrine retails for US$450 (~384 Euros) plus taxes. For more info, take a look at out the  video below or hump to shearwater.com.
