Dr. Tiara Moore Receives June Sea Hero Honor

Dr. Tiara Moore, founder and CEO of the nonprofit group Sunless in Marine Science, has been honored because the June Sea Hero by Scuba Diving Journal.

After tweeting relating to the shortcoming of vary amongst marine scientists, Moore, an environmental ecologist, founded blackinmarinescience.org. She suggested the magazine:

“I founded Sunless in Marine Science after the injustices of 2020 on the earth infiltrated the STEM neighborhood. We started having conversations relating to the shortcoming of vary in marine science. I tweeted sometime, ‘Where is all americans that is Sunless and in marine science?’ and so many folks answered. For the first time, I wasn’t isolated or by myself.”
