Italy’s Alessia Zecchini situation a new freediving World Document on Day 3 of the Vertical Blue 2021 competition at Dean’s Blue Hole within the Bahamas.

Zecchini dove to 74m/243feet in 3mins 2secs within the Constant Weight No Fins (CNF) self-discipline and devoted her World Document dive to the late, mammoth Eastern freediver Sayuri Kinoshita who handed away in an accident in 2019.

Day 3 also saw six new nationwide records being situation.

For the Men, Juani Valdivia from Peru situation a nationwide document within the Constant Weight with Monofin (CWT) self-discipline with a 65m/213feet, 2mins dive. China’s Kehan Pan dove to 77m/253feet in 3mins 5secs within the Free Immersion (FIM) self-discipline.

On the Females’s aspect, South Africa’s Talya Davidoff persevered her mighty flee throughout the competition with a new nationwide Constant Weight with Bi-fins (CWTB) document along with her 66m/217feet, 2mins 40secs dive. Bahama’s Isabelle Winner situation a nationwide FIM document with a 34m/112feet, 1mins 15 secs dive.

Furthermore, Turkey saw two new nationwide records: Sahika Ercumen dove to 77m/253feet in 3mins 5secs within the FIM self-discipline, and Birgul Erken dove the identical distance within the CWTB self-discipline in 3mins 15secs.
