On the predominant anniversary of the tragedy aboard the M/V Thought, a memorial stone changed into positioned on the positioning to honor the 34 victims of the difficulty off the waft of Santa Cruz Island, California.
The trouble changed into a collaboration between a host of companies and parties. The Divers Alert Network and PADI sourced the memorial stone and plaque. A range of companies, from the Los Angeles Port Police Division to NOAA’s Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary, all performed fundamental roles in delivering the stone and plaque to its diagram, along side meeting the total appropriate regulatory and felony requirements.

While PADI CEO Drew Richardson said:
“A year later, the dive neighborhood takes live to honor the memory of the brothers and sisters we lost. We deem every on the braveness of those that grieve for them and the sunshine of the memory of loved ones gentle residing in our hearts. Loving mates and family are so very arduous to spare and we are in a position to continue to feel this tragic loss for future years help.”
